How to use the Random Color Generator?

1. Choose between Completely Random (any color from the spectrum) or Custom Settings (adjust hue, saturation and lightness).

2. Click Generate Color to pick a new random color.

3. See the color in 7 different formats (Hex, RGB, HSL, LAB, LCH, OKLAB, OKLCH). Click Copy to use it.

4. Click on the Tints and Shades swatches or the Recent circles to select variations.

What are Tints and Shades?

Tints are variations of the original color moving towards black (progressive mixing with black). Shades are variations moving towards white (progressive mixing with white). They are useful for creating color palettes.

Which color formats are shown?

The tool shows the color in 7 formats: HEX (#2f88ff), RGB (rgb(47, 136, 255)), HSL (hsl(214.33, 100%, 59.22%)), LAB, LCH, OKLAB and OKLCH. Each format has a copy button.

Can I go back to a previous color?

Yes. All generated colors are saved in the "Recent" section. Just click on any circle to go back to that color.
